Applied Kinesiology (AK) is the original work of George Goodheart, D.C., in the field of muscle testing. Goodheart established a relationship between the muscles and the Chinese meridians of acupuncture. Therefore, by testing a muscle and judging its response, one could get an “energy readout” of the meridians in this manner. While this spawned the large realm of work that is now Energy Kinesiology, AK still remains in the realm of chiropractors and is more of a medical model approach to the body. See the History section for more information.
