Pause Lock, also referred to as “circuit retaining mode” in Touch for Health, is from the research of the late Allan Beardall, D.C. He found that by activating a specific part of the nervous system while identifying an imbalance, the information can be held in the body so the body can then communicate, via muscle monitoring, about that specific imbalance. This allows the practitioner to access the hierarchy of the body as it relates to the specific imbalance. With each subsequent imbalance that is found and pause locked, a new set of choices becomes available. It works much like the menu system on a computer – a menu drops down with choices related to that menu heading, some with arrows that drop down yet another menu, with more choices specifically related to the path you’ve taken to get there.
